Sovereign Grace Church Nairobi is led by a team of elders who are committed to
Gospel-Centered Leadership, pastoral care, and faithful teaching of God’s Word.

Our ministry team joyfully serves to support the mission of
Displaying and Declaring the Good News of Jesus in our city and beyond.

We are here to walk with you, pray for you, and help you grow in Christ.

Brian Kiama

Brian was born and raised in Nairobi. In 2011, He became a Christian in his first year of university. God used different people to help him see and understand the good news of Jesus Christ who came to save sinful, broken people, through His death and resurrection. In God’s kindness, Brian believed the gospel and began to follow Jesus. In the ensuing months and years, he had a growing desire to teach God’s word, which eventually became a desire for pastoral ministry. In 2021, Brian moved to Ethiopia with his family and joined the Trinity Fellowship Pastors College where he received his MA in Theological Studies. In 2024, he was ordained and commissioned back to Nairobi with the aim of planting Sovereign Grace Church Nairobi. Brian’s passion is to see more people come to understand the true gospel of Jesus Christ, and to experience its saving and transforming power in their lives as they seek to live as faithful disciples of Jesus for the glory of God. Brian is married to Julia, and together they have two young children. Brian enjoys reading, music, taking walks, and spending time with his wife and children.
